Tree Cuttin'

So right before it hit -20 degrees, we were lucky enough to head out and cut down our xmas tree. This was a big step for me. Last year I totally pouted when Josh and the missionaries went out and cut one down. (My mom always had the prettiest fake ones-that's what I love). I tried to be a better sport this year. I made cookies and hot cocoa and off we headed. And, I am so super glad that I did. Can I just say that it was one of the funnest things ever!! It was so fun to hike out in nature with no allergies, heat or bugs flying around me. The views were amazing. But best of all the kids and Josh were on cloud 9!! It was worth it and I can actually say that I would do it again. Don't tell Josh though, I don't want him thinking that he's right too often. :]

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a super blast this year. We spent the night up in Salt Lake so we could see my fam before they jetted off to CA. We ate at Little America's yummy buffet and had a great time just being together. We then headed to Orem to spend time with Josh's fam (their year). It was so great seeing everyone and having a big slumber party with the Stucki's at Becky's. We had way too many late nights for my old age ( coming home from the gym at 2:00 a.m. is never easy). But it was fun to have good food, catch up with family, play lots of games, and laugh a TON. My stomach was seriously sore after the week. I loved seeing my siblings and their kids. The kids had some great bonding time with their grandparents, as well. Becky, thanks for putting up with all of us. Love the Holidays!!

The game that shall not be mentioned

Just thought I'd put some pics in of our BYU/UTAH party we had at our house.I think enough time has passed that I can speak of it. :] I'm trying to look on the bright side of things that even though they lost, we still had a good time and good eats. It was also pretty funny how the Missionaries just "happened" by during the game. It stinks that we lost, but had a fun night. Besides, there's always next year- right Josh?

Twilight Mania

Even though it was a few weeks ago, I thought I'd put what a fabulous time I had Twilight night. I've been in countdown mode for months. A bunch of us ladies got together and had some yummy cheese and chocolate fondue. We then headed over to the late showing of the movie. I didn't know it would be this big up in MT, but we had to wait forever just to get into the theater. (we even got there early) It was fun seeing the movie and having a night out. Here are some goofy (and extremely close) pictures.

Birthday Girl!!!

We got to celebrate Ashley's 7th birthday this past week. It was so fun getting to do fun things for her. She gets so excited and screams "oh my gosh this is soooo cuuute!! for everything. It's great. Sometimes she feels outnumbered by the boys, so it was fun to do some girly stuff with just her. I can't believe that she is getting so old. I still picture her my litle bald headed 2 yr. old. She has been so much fun and joy since she was born. There is never a dull moment with her around. She's a miniature Josh with a love for life and endless energy. We did a family party and then a friend party. We rented out a gym and bounce house and that was perfect for her personality. It was a good week! It's just crazy to me to hear her now talk about her baptism "coming up". Where does the time go?

Happy Birthday Babe!!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday dear Joshua. Happy birthday to you!!! I just wanted to let Josh know that I really had a fun time and enjoyed celebrating HIM this weekend. I was bummed that he was out of town for half of his day, so we made it into a weekend event. (that's more my style anyway) The kids sold a bunch of their halloween candy back to a dentist and bought him some presents. Easton bought him some Dora balloons that really added to our decorations. Josh even got a birthday Yahtzee, which NEVER happens. It was nice just playing games, being with friends, learning to cook lobster, eating too much, and just staying up late and talking. Gosh, this sounds more like it was my bday.:] Thanks to everyone who called, texted, sent cards, or presents. I know he loved feeling like the King. Now just 117 days to go until mine! ;]

Halloween Kick-Off

We got our halloween kick off this weekend. The kids had their school party on Saturday. They were so excited to get in their costumes. They played a ton of games and did a trick or treat alley. We also did our pumpkins this weekend. Josh and Isaac actually carved theirs. Ashley, Easton and I painted ours. Josh is all about being festive, so he then had us make caramel apples. I'm obsessed with Disneylands apples, so it was fun to make my own. They actually turned out super good. After that, Josh made some pumpkin seeds, which I can't stop snacking on. We had a great time being together and making a mess.

Easton

I feel like Eastons bday passed by so fast because we were out of town. Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my little buddy. I can't believe that my "baby" is 3!!!! It seems like he has been 2 FOREVER. These pictures were taken right before we left (when we still had nice weather). It's cute the way his whole world revolves around Josh. Love you bud!!

Fun in the Sun!!

We just got back from having 7 awesome days in sunny So. California. It was so nice to finally have quality (and quantity) family time- with no interruptions. We had a fun full week and ate too much, but left with a lot of great memories. It's always hard for me to leave Disney, but it's nice to be home as well.

Tons of Fun in Utah

We made a quick trip down to UT this weekend. We had such a BLAST! We had an early bday party for Easton and then went to the BYU/UCLA game. Thanks to everyone for all the great gifts. Even though we were there for a short amount of time we were able to pack it in seeing everyone and eating lots and lots!! It was so great to hang out with friends and fam. We had such a great time at the game. Mom and Sara, thanks for giving Ash such a fun day with the girls. I love being able to be with family, you all mean so much to me! It's always hard to leave, but nice to be home.

Flag Football Opener

The boys' flag football season started this weekend. It was a chilly 45 degress at game time, but they were so excited I don't think that the weather mattered. Josh was excited to put his playbook into action, and Isaac was jumping all over the place , anxious to get playing. I only posted one video because it takes sooo long to upload. This is Isaac (in the cougar beanie :])and his best friend who work together so well. It's fun watching their excitement, chest bumps, and high fives. I'm hoping for a little warmer weather at games, but if not it's still so much fun to watch.

So Long Summertime- Hello School!

Sadly our summertime fun is over and it's back to the grind of school. I can't be too upset though, we had such a fun time this summer with lots of good memories. I'm trying to go with the saying "it's better to leave wanting more". Which I would love another month with the kids home. OH well. They were so excited this morning getting ready for their big day. And guess what? No tears from me this year!! First year that I didn't embarass myself. I'm not sure if it's because we were running late from all of Josh's picture taking or if it was because Ashley asked me not to cry this year.;D Easton was really sad to see them off. He kept hugging them and patting them on the back. I can't believe it's here. But guess what that also means?? The start of Cougar football. So bring on the fall!!

Grandma and Grandpa Walker

We had a super fun visit with Josh's parents. They came up for the weekend and we had a blast 4 wheeling, hiking, eating, talking and hanging out. They also brought up their kayaks and we had a blast giving them a try. We went to the lake by our house and Josh attempted to try fishing out. It was a total bless your heart moment. He caught about a 4 inch fish and was so excited he lost it as he was rowing in. He then saw it in the water, went to grab it and dropped his pole in the water. I was dying of laughter. All in all, we had a great time and as always it went by too fast.

All-Stars and Cheerleading

Isaac has just finished up with his all-star baseball team. We've had fun traveling around and watching him play. Last weekend the team got invited to go on the field with our local Minor League team. Isaac thought it was the coolest thing ever. Since he was a pitcher, he got to go out on the mound with their pitcher. At the end of the game he got to go on the field and get autographs and a bat signed by the team. One of the players gave him a game ball. Although he got home at midnight, we couldn't get him to wind down from his "best night ever". On to football .....

Ashley just finished up her cheer camp. She loved it! It's funny because when it comes to these types of things she can be really shy. (shocking, I know!) But she did the parade and cheered really loud. It was fun to watch and see her shake her groove thing!

Shout-Out for Josh

I just wanted to throw Josh's name in the lights and let him know how proud of him I am. He was one of 4 out of 130 District Managers chosen to present to about 500 top Wells Fargo employees. Gone are the days of him being nervous to give a talk. From what I hear, he did an awesome job, with his bosses being really proud. So yay for Josh! We missed our best buddy, but are all proud of him!! (Thanks for the pictures Heather!)

My buddies

Here's just some random shots of the kids. Ashley's the daredevil on the 4 wheeler, and Easton is Isaac's little shadow. We're having a great summer, it's just flying by really fast.

Just Like Dad

We went to get Isaac some football cleats and Easton put on a pair and wanted to be just like Isaac. He has refused to take them off, and looks pretty sweet wearing them with his shorts ;). He's been running around telling me to look at how fast he is. The best was he kept saying he was just like dad and then I saw him outside "mowing" the lawn.

Isaac

Tonight I looked out the window to see what Josh was doing and saw Isaac driving the lawn mower. I was freaked out seeing him on there. I've always thought he is way too young to do this, but apparently not. I wanted him to wear his helmet, but I know I've got to stop being so overprotective. (Although he would've looked pretty special wearing it!) He's my little buddy and it's weird to see him getting older. I tell him though, "you'll never be too big for me to snuggle you". I give you permission to remind him of this when he is a teenager.

Check out my Slide Show!

Tourny-Time

It's that time of year for the Firecracker tournament. Even though he hasn't been able to play for the last year, Josh made sure to be here for it since it's been a tradition for the past 8 years. It was great to see them all play together again.

Benedryl

The kids have all had really bad allergies. Poor Easton's eyes are almost swollen shut. I felt so bad for him that I gave him some benedryl. One minute he was sitting at the table eating his cereal and the next second I look over and he's passed out on the chair. AHH, so precious and quiet when he's asleep.

Father's Day Cheer to All "Cool" Dads!

I just want all the dads out there to know that I hope they had a great day and felt appreciated. I think any dad who takes the time to love and teach his kids values is tops in my book. I know so many dads like this and I think it's great. Much love to my dad, the coolest person ever! I can't wait to see you in a few weeks!! Most importantly I want my Soul Mate to know that the kids and I love you, appreciate all the hard work and sacrifices you makes for us and for all the fun things you do. I'm learning to appreciate that it never fails- they will pick him over me. Thanks for coming and eating dinner with us Aaron. Josh looks like he's in a food coma from our scrumptious meal. :)
